Alastair Donald - Urban designer and post graduate researcher.
Alastair founded the Min-Max-Cities Group and is a convenor of the conference Minimum… or Maximum Cities? He is an urban designer currently undertaking postgraduate research as part of the SOLUTIONS programme at the Martin Centre for Architectural and Urban Studies, University of Cambridge. He has previously worked in construction, regeneration and urban policy, and was an advisor in Masterplanning and Urban Design for the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment.
Alastair co-edited The Future of Community: Reports of a Death Greatly Exaggerated (Pluto Press, October 2008). He is an editorial board member and regular contributor to the journal Urban Design, and was guest editor of the issue Re-imagining the City. He has also written for a number of architecture, urbanism and current affairs journals and magazines including Blueprint and Building Design. He is working on the book Future Vision: Future Cities for publication in 2011.
