Joseph Simpson

 

Joseph Simpson - The Movement Design Bureau.





Joseph Simpson spent five years in the architectural education – and worked for firms such as EDAW and Penoyre + Prasad, before training to be a vehicle designer at The Royal College of Art.

Currently an associate of Car Design Research, he works as a consultant for firms such as Toyota and Pininfarina. He also leads research on cities and the automotive industry at London-based think tank The Movement Design Bureau – where he has spent the last year working on a sustainability project with Ford of North America.



He is a visiting lecturer on the Royal College of Art’s Vehicle Design course, and he writes for titles such as BusinessWeek, Wired and Car Design News. He focuses on exploring the future of how we will move, and specifically what role and form personal transport and the private car will take in the city of the future.
